Paul has been the Aquatics Director & Head Coach of the Scott Valley Sea Serpents swim team for the past five years and has over 15 years of coaching experience in Marin County.

Named “Coach of the Year” in 2004 by the Marin Swim League, Paul has led the Serpents to a second place finish during the last three swim seasons. Prior to joining the staff at Scott Valley, Paul served as assistant coach for the Novato Riptides and Lucas Valley Lightning swim teams

Aquatics have always been a big part of Paul’s life. He started swimming competitively at the age of four and participated in swimming and water polo throughout high school and college. In his spare time he also coaches the Marin Catholic High School girls’ water polo team which has won league championships eight times in ten seasons.

Carrie has been working around the water for over 15 years. At the age of 14, Carrie started teaching swim lessons in Pacifica. At age 18 she began working for the Recreation Center for the Handicapped in San Francisco in both the Aquatics Department and the Children’s Department. Those experiences formed the foundation for her career choices: aquatics and working with individuals with special needs.

On staff at SVSTC for three years, Carrie teaches the Hydro Body Sculpt deep-water aerobics class and the Adult Fitness Swim for Life program. She also teaches swim lessons and volunteers with the SVSTC Swim Team to help coach the 8-and-under swimmers.

A graduate of San Francisco State University, Carrie is planning to pursue a Master’s Degree in Orientation and Mobility, a branch of special education that involves the visually impaired. She and her husband, Greg, have a son named Caleb.
